In this topic he mentions the march of human progress and the necessary link of visual communication in the West is through persuasive means. In the West the march of human progress is inevitable. In the idea of progress, it is the continuous effort to create new instruments of technology in the most developed countries. In Latin America everything is unfinished, and the mass media inscribe us in the history of the 20th century. Thus, all societies are shown as global villages, as spectators of the media we assume the attitude of critically contemplating those programs offered by the vast variety of television offerings. The humanist has a vital role in the education that is offered to us, in the exploration of those cultural elements that are besieged by the extreme determinisms of poverty and violence, the millennium bug and industrial dumps, globalization in the plans for peripheral countries, environmental pollution. The alternative in the offer of television the critical eye is manifested in the family of “The Simpsons”, as the opportunity to glimpse the vicissitudes of the century that ends. It is in the cultural prism a form of entertainment, the vision, not of the world wandering, but the vicissitudes of some individuals and the criticism to the society that sustains, acclaims or denigrates it.
