bioalfabetizadores, problemas y posibles soluciones.
en temas biológicos en el test, pero respuestas muy enriquecedoras en la entrevista;
The objective of this research is to diagnose and generate a proposal to be able to include a bioliteracy process in the Mathematics, Spanish and Social Studies curricula in the | quarter of seventh year. The research used a qualitative approach, and six teachers from the Spanish area, six from Mathematics and six from Social Studies participated in it, all of them from public schools of the regional headquarters of Alajuela, in 2008. The first stage of the research was the realization of a diagnosis, which is divided into two parts. The first corresponds to a test, with analytical questions on biological and environmental issues; Tables and graphs were prepared with the data obtained. The second part of the diagnosis corresponded to an interview in which the teachers gave their points of view on bioliteracy aspects, problems and possible solutions. Regarding the test, it was possible to observe, analyze and establish significant and at the same time antagonistic differences that produced its results, where a low knowledge of biological issues in the test is shown, especially in Social Studies teachers, but very enriching responses in the interview; which was not the case with respect to mathematics teachers, due to their lack of knowledge in the area. For their part, Spanish teachers tend to make good use of the concepts and their application in the study program. The second step consisted in the selection of topics -within the study program for the seventh year in the first trimester- of the three investigated disciplines that were the most adapted for a process of bioliteracy. This choice was made with the help of three specialist teachers, one in each subject. With this, a methodological proposal was built in each of the three areas using the ASSURE instructional design model.
