Ansiedad matemática y su relación con algunas variables en futuros maestros de primaria de la Zona Sur de Costa Rica

Resumen
Se presenta un estudio sobre la ansiedad matemática de 238 estudiantes para maestros de educación primaria de la zona sur de Costa Rica y su relación con las variables sexo, universidad en la que estudia, modalidad en la que se graduó de secundaria, lugar de procedencia, rendimiento académico, año que cursa de la carrera y edad. Los resultados concluyen que los estudiantes poseen un nivel medio de ansiedad hacia la Matemática. Además, resultó que las mujeres, los estudiantes que tienen menor rendimiento académico y que provienen de la Universidad Internacional San Isidro Labrador, sede Pérez Zeledón son los que presentan mayor ansiedad.
A study is presented on the mathematics anxiety of 238 students for elementary education teachers in the southern zone of Costa Rica and its relationship with the variables sex, university where they study, modality in which they graduated from high school, place of origin, academic performance, year of study and age. The results conclude that students have a medium level of anxiety towards mathematics. In addition, it was found that women, students who have lower academic performance and who come from the Universidad Internacional San Isidro Labrador, Pérez Zeledón branch, are the most anxious.
