Propuesta para facilitar el proceso de alfabetización científica utilizando el método indagatorio como herramienta didáctica en las actividades realizadas en el espacio asignado para el servicio comunal estudiantil (SCE) en un colegio académico del circuito 01 y un colegio académico del circuito 02 de la provincia de Heredia

Abstract

El objetivo general de la investigación fue desarrollar una propuesta metodológica para facilitar el proceso de alfabetización científica utilizando el método indagatorio como una herramienta de enseñanza dentro de las actividades realizadas en el espacio del Servicio Comunal Estudiantil (SCE). Esta investigación se situó en un diseño cualitativo dominante. La literatura consultada relaciona la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales con la alfabetización científica, modelos y estrategias de enseñanza, así como espacios recreativos (SCE). La población de estudio estuvo formada por estudiantes participantes en el SCE, así como sus respectivos profesores tutores y miembros del comité de evaluación de dicho espacio. Con respecto al análisis de resultados se concluye, principalmente: el Servicio Comunal Estudiantil (SCE) es posiblemente subutilizado; las actividades implementadas en el SCE no favorecen los procesos de alfabetización científica; el SCE no utiliza el método indagatorio como herramienta de enseñanza durante el SCE; por esa razón la propuesta metodológica plateada en esta investigación puede fomentar la alfabetización científica durante la realización de los proyectos del SCE. Entre las principales recomendaciones se ubican: utilizar otros espacios educativos en los que se pueda implementar el método indagatorio como herramienta que facilite la alfabetización científica; además se puede basar en diferentes niveles de escolaridad; otras herramientas didácticas que permitan la generación de alfabetización científica; la capacitación de profesores y funcionarios de la institución en cuanto a filosofía del SCE, la alfabetización científica y estrategias metodológicas.

The general objective of the research was to develop a methodological proposal to facilitate the process of scientific literacy using the inquiry method as a teaching tool within the activities carried out in the space of the Student Community Service (SCE). This research was situated in a dominant qualitative design. The literature consulted relates the teaching of natural sciences with scientific literacy, teaching models and strategies, as well as recreational spaces (SCE). The study population was made up of students participating in the SCE, as well as their respective tutors and members of the evaluation committee of said space. Regarding the analysis of results, it is concluded, mainly: the Student Community Service (SCE) is possibly underutilized; the activities implemented in the SCE do not favor scientific literacy processes; the SCE does not use the inquiry method as a teaching tool during the SCE; For this reason, the methodological proposal presented in this research can promote scientific literacy during the implementation of SCE projects. Among the main recommendations are: use other educational spaces in which the investigative method can be implemented as a tool that facilitates scientific literacy; it can also be based on different levels of schooling; other didactic tools that allow the generation of scientific literacy; the training of professors and officials of the institution in terms of SCE philosophy, scientific literacy and methodological strategies.
