Sectorizacón turística a partir de la estructura territorial del cantón de Acosta, Costa Rica

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación es develar la estructura territorial del turismo, con base en el diagnóstico territorial del turismo del cantón de Acosta, donde se describen factores económicos, sociales, culturas y naturales del cantón y como a partir de esta identificación se presenta una propuesta de planificación y diversificación económica aprovechando las características rurales y naturales del territorio. Para lo cual se realizó trabajo de campo dentro del cantón, revisión bibliográfica, levantamiento de datos geoespaciales y entrevistas para obtener datos importantes que pudieran contribuir al desarrollo de la tesis. De los cuales se obtuvieron resultados como la estructura territorial del turismo del cantón y la sectorización turística con respecto a sus áreas de influencias para el desplazamiento y flujos de turistas dentro de Acosta, lo cual permite un mayor dinamismo y encadenamiento productivo en los otros distritos del cantón. También de la importancia que tiene el turismo sobre los territorios lo cual genera un gran potencial para estimular el cambio social y el crecimiento económico local debido a su complementariedad con otras actividades económicas como la agricultura, su contribución al desarrollo regional y la creación de nuevas fuentes de empleo, y su capacidad para facilitar la dispersión de la demanda en períodos más extensos de tiempo de ocio.

The objective of this research is to reveal the territorial structure of tourism, with based on the territorial diagnosis of tourism in the canton of Acosta, which describes economic, social, cultural and natural factors of the canton and how from this identification a proposal for planning and economic diversification is presented, taking advantage of the rural and natural characteristics of the territory. For this purpose, field work was carried out in the canton, literature review, geospatial data collection and interviews to obtain important data that could contribute to the development of the thesis. The results obtained include the territorial structure of tourism in the canton of and the tourist sectorization with respect to its areas of influence for the displacement and flow of tourists within Acosta, which allows for greater dynamism and productive linkages in the other districts of the canton. Also of the importance that tourism has on the territories which generates a great potential to stimulate social change and local economic growth due to its complementarity with other economic activities such as agriculture, its contribution to regional development and the creation of new sources of employment, and its ability to facilitate the dispersion of demand over longer periods of leisure time.
