An internship in orthopedic surgery was performed at the HEMS, of the School of Veterinary Medicine of the UNA, with a duration of eight weeks from June 1 to July 24, 2015. 51 patients were attended, mostly dogs and a total of 69 surgeries were performed. In each case, the intern was present during the specific orthopedic examination, the taking and interpretation of radiological images, and the other collateral tests. Also, assistance by the intern was given in each one of the surgical times of the different procedures and in the revision consultations. This document describes the data of the casuistry of the orthopedic patient species that were attended. In addition to the amount of each of the surgical procedures performed during the internship, it was also described two cases of rupture of the cranial cruciate ligament, which were approached with different surgical techniques. The first, with an extracapsular technique, and the second, with a biomechanical modification technique called tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA). The first case, also presented a dislocation of medial patella.
