Resumen
La pasantía fue realizada en la Clínica Veterinaria H24Vets, ubicada en Escazú,
San José, Costa Rica, se llevó a cabo en el periodo comprendido del 15 de febrero al
9 de abril del 2021, periodo de ocho semanas donde se realizaron un total de 106
cirugías a 100 pacientes que se presentaron a la clínica, la mayoría de los animales
intervenidos fueron animales de compañía, además se intervino un ave silvestre. La
mayor cantidad de cirugías efectuadas fueron de tejidos blandos; sin embargo,
también se trabajó cirugías odontológicas y ortopédicas. Se realizaron exámenes
complementarios, y se instauraron tratamientos quirúrgicos enfocados en las
patologías evidenciadas.
The internship was carried out at the H24Vets Veterinary Clinic, located in Escazú, San José, Costa Rica, in the period from February 15 to April 9, 2021, in these 8 weeks it was performed 106 surgeries to 100 patients who presented to the clinic, most of the surgeries were on companion animals, however, a wild bird was also operated on. The largest number of surgeries performed were soft tissue, however, dental, and orthopedic surgeries were also performed. Complementary examinations were performed, and surgical treatments focused on the pathologies evidenced were established.
