Desarrollo capitalista en el cantón de Tarrazú y trabajo estacional femenino

Abstract

Examina la existencia y desarrollo del trabajo femenino estacional, asociado a la cosecha de café, en el cantón de Tarrazú, Costa Rica. Determina cómo es y cómo ha evolucionado la estructura productiva, con predominio capitalista en el cantón indicado. Concibe, para ello, el trabajo estacional femenino como fenómeno conexo y derivado de la evolución objetivo de la estructura de la producción cafetalera en Tarrazú (adopción de la crítica materialista histórica al idealismo). El estudio se enmarca dentro de los conceptos de capitalismo agrario y sobrepoblación, producción capitalista y trabajo femenino remunerado. Ubica geográfica e históricamente el cantón de Tarrazú. Presenta los resultados de las encuestas y las conclusiones, como instrumentos de trabajo empleados.

This article examines the existence and development of seasonal female labor associated with the coffee harvest in the canton of Tarrazú, Costa Rica. It determines the nature and evolution of the productive structure, with a capitalist predominance in the indicated canton. It conceives seasonal female labor as a phenomenon connected to and derived from the objective evolution of the structure of coffee production in Tarrazú (adopting the historical materialist critique of idealism). The study is framed within the concepts of agrarian capitalism and overpopulation, capitalist production, and paid female labor. It locates the canton of Tarrazú geographically and historically. It presents the results of the surveys and the conclusions used as the working instruments.
