“Artistic Manifestations” is an outreach project launched in 2021 with the goal of promoting spaces for artistic and recreational activities focused on the empowerment and socio-emotional well-being of the communities of Sarapiquí. In this context, workshops are offered that encourage expression through various artistic disciplines, focusing on applied arts for reflection, dialogue, and self-awareness. During work sessions with the community population, recreational spaces are created that foster social encounter and reflection. These workshops address different forms of expression, such as painting, writing, dance, movement, and theater. These disciplines are used as tools for artistic and recreational exercises that promote dialogue on topics of interest to the population, which has led to a strengthening of their ideas and emotions, as well as a greater awareness of the importance of self-care. Furthermore, the work methodology not only seeks to build knowledge, experiences, and proposals to address problems collectively, but also functions as a form of social research to understand the needs and interests of communities. Through dialogue, analysis, and the systematization of each workshop, an understanding of the population's perception of various issues and their relationship to them is obtained.
