Resumen
Se investiga la influencia de los factores metodológicos, recursos didácticos, actitud del niño, motivación del docente y los niveles de desarrollo de la comprensión lectora, en los alumnos de IV grado, de la Escuela Central San José de Golfito, Circuito 05, Región Educativa Coto, durante el curso lectivo 2003. Tiene como finalidad de atender la necesidad de incrementar y conocer la comprensión lectora de los alumnos de la escuela primaria, pretendiendo que ésta sea un eje motivador y enriquecedor de la tarea educativa, desde las diferentes corrientes que orientan el pensamiento de la época. Además, pretende que el docente confronte sus valores con lo que transmite la literatura y rescatar material valioso, desde el punto de vista humano, que le permita la formación de hábitos, valores y actitudes deseables en toda persona crítica y creativa. Es una investigación de tipo descriptiva, debido a que en ella se va a describir el desarrollo de una investigación en comprensión de lectura en los diferentes niveles, para que despierte el interés en la lectura a los niños. La muestra se seleccionó mediante el muestro al azar en el caso de los niños y los padres de familia, y el 100% en el caso del docente, dando como resultado 13 niños y 13 padres de familia y un docente. Las conclusiones de la investigación indican que a los estudiantes les resulta fácil la compresión lectora, pues logran identificar el personaje e idea principal en una lectura y saben explicar lo leído, además al leer lo hacen con buena entonación y acentuación. Los docentes cuentan con materiales didácticos, libros y técnicas que realizan en el aula que favorecen que los estudiantes practiquen la comprensión lectora.
This study investigates the influence of methodological factors, didactic resources, children's attitude, teacher's motivation and the levels of development of reading comprehension in fourth grade students of the San José de Golfito Central School, Circuit 05, Coto Educational Region, during the 2003 school year. Its purpose is to meet the need to increase and know the reading comprehension of elementary school students, pretending that this will be a motivating and enriching axis of the educational task, from the different currents that guide the thinking of the time. In addition, it intends that teachers confront their values with what literature transmits and rescue valuable material, from the human point of view, which allows the formation of habits, values and attitudes desirable in every critical and creative person. It is a descriptive type of research, because it will describe the development of a research on reading comprehension at different levels, in order to awaken children's interest in reading. The sample was selected by random sampling in the case of children and parents, and 100% in the case of the teacher, resulting in 13 children and 13 parents and one teacher. The conclusions of the research indicate that reading comprehension is easy for the students, since they are able to identify the character and main idea in a reading and know how to explain what they read, and they read with good intonation and accentuation. Teachers have didactic materials, books and classroom techniques that help students practice reading comprehension.
