The Network of Women Researchers of the National University (MIRED) since its creation has had the objective of making visible the work of the institution's academic women, for which, since 2018, an annual international seminar has been organized, within the framework of the commemoration of International Women's Day, as a space for the exchange of experiences and knowledge that strengthen substantive university action and whose main role is played by our women researchers, from "the knowledge and feelings of women, from the embrace and understanding of gender, from sisterhood as a tool that integrates all struggles, postponed rights, opportunities" as indicated by Dr. Ana María Hernández Segura, Former Deputy Rector of the National University when inaugurating the 2019 seminar.
