Abstract

La publicación del libro José Martí: narrar desde el periodismo, del doctor Mauricio Núñez, compilador-editor de la obra, por la Editorial de la Universidad Nacional (EUNA) de Costa Rica (2016),1 representa una valiosa contribución al enriquecimiento de la cultura en la comunidad universitaria costarricense y latinoamericana en general; pero será especialmente útil para quienes se forman en los campos de las ciencias de la comunicación, la literatura y los estudios latinoamericanos, toda vez que son escasas en nuestro medio costarricense y centroamericanos las obras que nos acerquen al legado martiano plasmado en los textos en los que el prócer cubano supo conjugar lo específico de su pensamiento y de su praxis política, educativa, periodística y literaria.The publication of the book José Martí: narrating from journalism, by Dr. Mauricio Núñez, compiler-editor, by Mauricio Núñez, compiler-editor of the work, by the Editorial de la Universidad Nacional of the National University (EUNA) of Costa Rica (2016),1 is a valuable contribution to the a valuable contribution to the enrichment of culture in the Costa Rican university community in the Costa Rican and Latin American university community in general; but it will be especially community in general; but it will be especially useful for those who are educated in the fields of the fields of communication sciences, literature and Latin American studies, since there are few Latin American studies, since there are very few works in our Costa Rican and Central American and Central American works that bring us closer to the legacy of Marti's legacy embodied in the texts in which the Cuban hero knew how to combine the his thought and his political, educational, journalistic and literary praxis, educational, journalistic and literary praxis.
