Conocimiento pedagógico del contenido que utiliza un profesor de matemática para enseñar los conceptos básicos de función en cuarto año de la educación secundaria costarricense

Abstract

El principal propósito de este trabajo es contribuir con el estudio y caracterización de los conocimientos que utiliza el profesor de! matemática en su práctica de enseñanza, enfatizando en el conocimiento pedagógico del contenido (CPC), concepto introducido porShulman (1986) y desarrollado, por Hill, Ball y Schilling (2008), quienes lo representan en dos dominios: el conocimiento del contenido y el conocimiento pedagógico del contenido. La investigación pretende identificar y describir los tres subdominios del CPC (el conocimiento del contenido y los estudiantes, el conocimiento del contenido y la enseñanza y el conocimiento del contenido del currículo) de un profesor cuando enseña el tema de funciones. Este proceso se realiza con el aporte del análisis didáctico propuesto por Rojas, Flores y Ramos (2013) para identificar dominios de conocimiento matemático específicos ligados al concepto descrito.The main purpose of this paper is to contribute to the study and characterization of knowledge that uses math teacher in their teachingpractice, with particular emphasis on pedagogical content knowledge, PCK, concept introduced by Shulman (1986) and developed later, Hill, Ball and Schilling (2008), who represent the two domains: content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge. The research aims to identify and describe the three subdomains of the PCK (knowledge of content and students, knowledge of content and teaching and curriculum content knowledge) when a teacher teaches the subject of functions. This is done with the support of Didactic analysis proposed by Rojas, Flores and Ramos (2013) to identify specific domains of mathematical knowledge related to the concept described.
