Resumen
Este trabajo consistió en una articulación territorial de la actividad turística en las
comunidades de San Jerónimo y Zapotal de San Pedro del cantón de Pérez Zeledón en relación
al Parque Nacional Chirripó, en la cual se tuvo como objetivo principal el aporte a la gestión
turística local. Utilizando un enfoque mixto y una metodología participativa trabajando con las
comunidades. Resultado de esto, se caracterizó el sistema turístico, los recursos, la oferta y
demando, con el fin de obtener un producto acorde con las necesidades, por lo cual se crearon 2
circuitos y 7 rutas a lo largo del área de estudio en torno al PNCh creando el corredor turístico
San Jerónimo-PNCh. Esto permite una conectividad y movilidad eficiente en el que se logra una
integración territorial, que contribuye a la planificación y gestión participativa de la población
local.
