Aspectos generales sobre los derechos humanos

Abstract

Los derechos humanos se fundamentan en la dignidad de la persona. Por eso todo ser humano, sin importar su edad, religión, sexo o condición social, debe de gozar de ellos. Existen diversos mecanismos para garantizar su cumplimiento; así podemos mencionar el papel del Estado, el cual no solo tiene el deber de reconocerlos, sino también de respetarlos y defenderlos; concretar su actuación a los límites señalados por la ley, la cual le impone en determinados casos la obligación de no hacer o actuar con el fin de garantizar a los individuos la vigencia de sus libertades y derechos consagrados en la Constitución.Human rights are based on the dignity of the person. Therefore, every human being, regardless of age, religion, sex or social status, should enjoy them. There are various mechanisms to guarantee their fulfillment; thus we can mention the role of the State, which not only has the duty to recognize them, but also to respect and defend them; to specify its actions within the limits established by law, which imposes on it in certain cases the obligation not to do or act in order to guarantee individuals the validity of their freedoms and rights enshrined in the Constitution.
