Un proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la matemática asistido con software matemático: el caso MATHCAD

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta una opción alternativa acerca e como utilizar el computador en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la matemática. para cada uno de los métodos de enseñanza de la matemática (expositivo, laboratorio, proyectos,...) se realizó un estudio bibliográfico de sus ventajas y limitaciones. Como aporte de este proyecto se estudió el aprovechamiento de las ventajas y la atención de las limitaciones de cada uno de los métodos y cómo se beneficiarían con la utilización del computador en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje contando con la ayuda de programas de software matemático, en nuestro caso MATHCAD. Para lo cual se diseñaron y se aplicaron actividades, en las cuales se muestra la utilización del computador como herramienta facilitadora y como valor agregado de los diferentes métodos y técnicas dentro del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la matemática. Algunas de estas actividades se desarrollaron en la introducción del tema de límites mediante el método expositivo, así como el descubrimiento de las propiedades de la función lineal y función cuadrática mediante el método de laboratorio. En ambas situaciones el computador se convirtió en un elemento motivante y en una herramienta que proporciona los medios para el redescubrimiento de conceptos y la verificación de conjeturas. Al final del presente trabajo llegamos a comprobar que el computador es una herramienta de utilidad que permite una mayor interacción de los estudiantes en la creación de su propio conocimiento. El empleo de la computadora, ofrece de esta manera una opción alternativa para el desarrollo de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje.

This work presents an alternative option about how to use the computer in the teaching-learning process of mathematics. For each of the mathematics teaching methods (expository, laboratory, projects, ...) a bibliographic study of its advantages and limitations was carried out. As a contribution to this project, the use of the advantages and attention to the limitations of each of the methods was studied and how they would benefit from the use of the computer in the teaching-learning process with the help of mathematical software programs, in our case MATHCAD. For which activities were designed and applied, in which the use of the computer as a facilitating tool and as an added value of the different methods and techniques within the mathematics teaching-learning process is shown. Some of these activities were developed in the introduction of the subject of limits through the expository method, as well as the discovery of the properties of the linear function and quadratic function through the laboratory method. In both situations the computer became a motivating element and a tool that provides the means for the rediscovery of concepts and the verification of conjectures. At the end of this work we came to see that the computer is a useful tool that allows greater interaction of students in the creation of their own knowledge. The use of the computer thus offers an alternative option for the development of teaching-learning processes.
