Revising and Editing for Translators, de Brian Mossop: Cambios en una traducción funcional de un texto no literario.

Abstract

El presente trabajo consiste en la traducción de los primeros seis capítulos del libro Revising and Editing for Translators2, del autor Brian Mossop «Why Editing and Revising are Needed», «The Work of an Editor», «Copyediting», «Stylistic Editing», «Structural Editing» y «Content Editing»—, y la elaboración de un informe sobre dicha traducción. El informe se enfoca en los cambios necesarios que se realizaron durante la traducción, con el fin de asegurar la funcionalidad del texto meta entre lectores hispanohablantes.The present project consists of the translation of chapters 1-6 of Revising and Editing for Translators2, by Brian Mossop (“Why Editing and Revising are Needed”, “The Work of an Editor”, “Copyediting”, “Stylistic Editing”, “Structural Editing” y “Content Editing”), and its accompanying analysis. This analysis focuses on the necessary changes made during the translation process, in order to guarantee the functionality of the target text among its Spanish speaking audience.
