La participación de Costa Rica en negociaciones comerciales multilaterales: el caso de coaliciones con otros estados

Resumen
Los cambios en el Sistema Internacional obligan a los Estados a buscar diversos
mecanismos que les permitan adaptarse a nuevos contextos. Es por ello, que estos países
deben priorizar sus acciones, así como también unirse en coaliciones o participar a través
de la cooperación; principalmente, en aquellas reuniones que cuentan con gran cantidad de
participantes. Tal es el caso de Organización Mundial del Comercio (en adelante OMC) en
la cual los países han desarrollado estrategias para agilizar y obtener mejores resultados
durante la negociación de acuerdos comerciales.
Por ello, a través de la interdependencia compleja y la teoría de juegos se analiza
el actuar de Costa Rica en esta organización, incluyendo fortalezas y debilidades;
enfatizando los resultados obtenidos en negociaciones al participar en coalición, pues,
debido a la naturaleza de la OMC la creación de alianzas se ha convertido en un eje
fundamental en cada ronda de negociación.
