Resumen
El objetivo del informe de seminario es de conocer los factores que influyen en el desarrollo de la lectura de los alumnos (as) de quinto año de la escuela La Asunción, circuito 01, Región Educativa, Pérez Zeledón, durante el primer período del año lectivo 2003, en cuanto la práctica diaria del desarrollo de la lectura. La investigación se desarrolló en la escuela La Asunción, ubicada en San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón, en el circuito 01 de la Dirección Regional de Pérez Zeledón. Se trabajó con una población de 60 estudiantes, de los cuales se tomó una muestra de 30 estudiantes, 60 padres de familia de los alumnos en estudio, de los cuales se tomó una muestra de 30 padres de familia y 2 docentes de los estudiantes investigados. La fundamentación teórica se basa en dar a conocer lo que es desarrollo de la lectura, el interés por la lectura, el hábito de la lectura, el contexto familiar y su influencia en la lectura, así como técnicas metodológicas del programa de educación primaria de Roberto Brenes Mesén. La investigación es de carácter descriptivo con un paradigma cuantitativo, ya que consiste en analizar e interpretar hechos relacionados con el desarrollo de la lectura. La recolección de datos se obtuvieron mediante tres instrumentos. El primero fue un cuestionario aplicado a los alumnos de quinto año, el segundo un cuestionario aplicado a docentes que imparten quinto año y el tercero un cuestionario aplicado a los padres de familia de los alumnos en estudio. El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo dependiendo de cada instrumento. En los cuestionarios los datos son analizados e interpretados por medio de cuadros y gráficos. Dentro de las conclusiones más importantes a las que se llegó con la ejecución de la investigación se destacan las siguientes: De acuerdo con el interés de leer, los alumnos manifiestan que es importante la práctica diaria de la lectura para adquirir el conocimiento que le beneficiará en la toma de decisiones en la vida. Con respecto a los docentes, se determina que el interés de leer es activo, ya que reciben con agrado las lecturas que se les asigna para el desarrollo de los objetivos del programa de español. En cuanto a los padres de familia; referente al interés de leer, éstos fortalecen la lectura de sus hijos ya que consideran que es la mejor manera de ampliar sus conocimientos y colaborar con el docente en el desarrollo de los programas. Respecto al hábito de lectura, según los estudiantes, la mayoría lo poseen facilitando la concentración y por ende la comprensión del texto. Con respecto al hábito de la lectura según los padres de familia, éstos consideran que leer es fundamental para el desarrollo humano. Se verifica según estudiantes que la influencia de la familia en el desarrollo de la lectura se da ya que los padres de familia fomentan la práctica de la misma en el hogar. En la técnicas metodológicas los alumnos opinan que existe motivación por parte de los docentes, durante el proceso del desarrollo de la lectura ya que las actividades que se realizan en el aula son de su agrado y según docentes las técnicas metodológicas aplicadas en el aula son bien recibidas, aprovechadas y disfrutadas por los estudiantes.
The objective of the seminar report is to know the factors that influence the reading development of fifth grade students at La Asunción School, Circuit 01, Educational Region, Pérez Zeledón, during the first period of the 2003 school year, in terms of the daily practice of reading development. The research was carried out at La Asunción school, located in San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón, in circuit 01 of the Regional Directorate of Pérez Zeledón. We worked with a population of 60 students, from which a sample of 30 students was taken, 60 parents of the students under study, from which a sample of 30 parents was taken, and 2 teachers of the students investigated. The theoretical foundation is based on the development of reading, the interest in reading, the habit of reading, the family context and its influence on reading, as well as methodological techniques of the primary education program of Roberto Brenes Mesén. The research is descriptive with a quantitative paradigm, since it consists of analyzing and interpreting facts related to the development of reading. Data collection was obtained by means of three instruments. The first was a questionnaire applied to fifth grade students, the second a questionnaire applied to teachers who teach fifth grade, and the third a questionnaire applied to the parents of the students under study. The data analysis was carried out depending on each instrument. In the questionnaires, the data are analyzed and interpreted by means of tables and graphs. Among the most important conclusions reached during the research, the following stand out: According to the interest in reading, the students state that it is important the daily practice of reading to acquire knowledge that will benefit them in making decisions in life. With respect to the teachers, it is determined that the interest in reading is active, since they welcome the readings assigned to them for the development of the objectives of the Spanish program. As for the parents; regarding the interest in reading, they strengthen their children's reading since they consider that it is the best way to broaden their knowledge and collaborate with the teacher in the development of the programs. Regarding the habit of reading, according to the students, most of them have it, facilitating concentration and therefore the comprehension of the text. With respect to the habit of reading, according to parents, they consider that reading is fundamental for human development. It is verified according to students that the influence of the family in the development of reading is given since parents encourage the practice of reading at home. In the methodological techniques, students believe that there is motivation on the part of teachers during the process of reading development, since the activities carried out in the classroom are to their liking and according to teachers, the methodological techniques applied in the classroom are well received, taken advantage of and enjoyed by the students.
