Tesauro: información especializada en ciencias sociales

Abstract

El presente Tesauro Interno en ciencias sociales, es el producto de la labor desarrollada durante varios años en el Centro de Información Documental de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Nacional. Su objetivo principal es el de contar con un instrumento que uniforme y controle la tecnología o conjunto de descriptores que permita el tratamiento de la información y darle seguimiento en un documento. Después de trabajar los conceptos sociológicos en otros thesaurus como el de la OCDE, el Political Science, el de la Universidad Autónoma de México, etc. reconocidos internacionalmente y convencidos del número de términos autóctonos, se estudió y definió la terminología utilizada, teniendo como referencia la información documental mediante el proceso de indización y análisis. Esperamos que el instrumento propuesto, "Sistema de Información Especializado en Ciencias Sociales", sea establecido en las entidades de información de la Facultad y la Universidad, de modo que se le pueda dar un seguimiento y enriquecer este tesauro con el almacenamiento, análisis y difusión de la información.

The present Internal Thesaurus in social sciences is the product of the work developed during several years in the Documentary Information Center of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University. Its main objective is to have an instrument that unifies and controls the technology or set of descriptors that allows the treatment of information and its follow-up in a document. After working on the sociological concepts in other internationally recognized thesaurus such as those of the OECD, Political Science, the Autonomous University of Mexico, etc., and convinced of the number of indigenous terms, the terminology used was studied and defined, taking as a reference the documentary information through the indexing and analysis process. We hope that the proposed instrument, "Specialized Information System in Social Sciences", will be established in the information entities of the Faculty and the University, so that it can be followed up and enrich this thesaurus with the storage, analysis and dissemination of information.
