Resumen
Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo principal indagar sobre las
consecuencias sociales, sicológicas y académicas que experimentan los
estudiantes de la Escuela Sinaí posterior al divorcio o separación de los
padres. Los objetivos específicos son: Identificar las consecuencias sociales.
Determinar las consecuencias sicológicas y Reconocer las consecuencias
académicas. La literatura consultada trata sobre algunos aspectos legales
del divorcio, la familia y el divorcio, efectos del divorcio en la autoestima de
los niños y el divorcio y su influencia en el rendimiento académico de los
niños. La indagación está inmersa dentro del enfoque cualitativo y
metodología de estudios de casos múltiples. El tipo de investigación es
interpretativa. La investigación se realizó por medio de entrevistas a
profundidad, dirigidas a estudiantes, padres de familia y maestros de la
institución. Se elaboró un análisis detallado por cada categoría. Las
conclusiones indican que el divorcio o separación trae consecuencias en los
hijos, tales como el dedicar la mayor parte de su tiempo a ver programas de
televisión y a asistir con frecuencia a salas de video juegos, además de
sentimientos de culpabilidad por parte de los niños y falta de apoyo por parte
de los miembros de sus familias junto a los conflictos en sus hogares, que
influyen para que las calificaciones de los niños sean deficientes. Entre las
recomendaciones se presentan el comprender a los estudiantes que
atraviesan por el proceso de separación o divorcio de sus padres, ayudar a
los hijos mediante la práctica con ellos de técnicas de manejo del estrés y
fortalecer la relación con sus padres mediante la solicitud de espacios en el
hogar, para expresar con sinceridad y confianza sentimientos y deseos
intrínsecos.
The main objective of this research was to investigate the social, psychological and academic consequences experienced by Sinai School students after parental divorce or separation. The specific objectives are: Identify the social consequences. Determine the psychological consequences and Recognize the academic consequences. The literature consulted deals with some legal aspects of divorce, family and divorce, effects of divorce on children's self-esteem, and divorce and its influence on children's academic performance. The inquiry is immersed within the qualitative approach and multiple case study methodology. The type of research is interpretative. The research was carried out through in-depth interviews with students, parents and teachers of the institution. A detailed analysis was elaborated for each category. The conclusions indicate that divorce or separation has consequences for the children, such as spending most of their time watching television programs and frequently attending video game arcades, in addition to feelings of guilt on the part of the children and lack of support from their family members, together with conflicts in their homes, which influence the children's grades to be poor. Recommendations include understanding students who are going through the process of separation or divorce from their parents, helping children by practicing stress management techniques with them, and strengthening the relationship with their parents by requesting space in the home to express feelings and intrinsic desires with sincerity and confidence.
