In this study, a financial cost model was built analyzing the profitability of a silvopastoral system, where the forestry component was incorporated through narrow strips of wood production within a land for livestock use. A staggered planting arrangement was used in rows of trees at different spacings in order to determine the highest possible productivity of the forestry component within livestock farms and contribute to reducing the carbon footprint generated by this activity. Two scientific articles were elaborated with the title Costs of production of teak (Tectona grandis) and melina (Gmelina arborea) in a silvopastoral system in the north of Costa Rica, where a cost structure and financial analysis and financing scenarios were constructed. of the forest component in a silvopastoral system for the model proposed in this research project, in addition, four financing scenarios were analyzed to evaluate which is the most appropriate option to promote the use of this model within cattle farms.
