Museo Regional del Sur

Abstract

La Sección Regional de Pérez Zeledón juega un papel muy importante en la región como el ente responsable de la educación superior, y de acuerdo con los fines, principios y funciones que orientan su quehacer académico y administrativo, es que ha integrado dentro de sus proyectos de trabajo el de la creación del Museo Regional del Sur. Este museo va a poseer materiales y colecciones especializadas o diversificadas representativas de la región ya sea por razones geográficas, administrativas o culturales. El museo debe suministrar información sobre la flora y fauna original, lo perdido y la necesidad de que el hombre modifique su visión etnocentrista en su relación con el medio que le rodea.

The Pérez Zeledón Regional Section plays a very important role in the region as the entity responsible for higher education. In accordance with the purposes, principles, and functions that guide its academic and administrative work, it has integrated the creation of the Southern Regional Museum into its work projects. This museum will have specialized or diversified materials and collections representative of the region for geographical, administrative, or cultural reasons. The museum should provide information about the original flora and fauna, what has been lost, and the need for humans to change their ethnocentric view of their relationship with the environment around them.
