Museo Regional del Sur

Abstract

La Sección Regional de Pérez Zeledón desempeña un papel fundamental en la región al fungir como el ente responsable de la educación superior. En coherencia con los fines, principios y funciones que orientan su quehacer académico y administrativo, ha incorporado dentro de sus proyectos institucionales la creación del Museo Regional del Sur. Este museo albergará materiales y colecciones especializadas o diversas que representen las características propias de la región, ya sea desde una perspectiva geográfica, administrativa o cultural. Asimismo, tendrá la misión de ofrecer información sobre la flora y fauna originales, los elementos que se han perdido y la importancia de que el ser humano transforme su visión etnocentrista en su relación con el entorno natural.

The Pérez Zeledón Regional Section plays a fundamental role in the region as the entity responsible for higher education. In accordance with the aims, principles, and functions that guide its academic and administrative work, it has incorporated the creation of the Southern Regional Museum into its institutional projects. This museum will house specialized and diverse materials and collections that represent the region's unique characteristics, whether from a geographical, administrative, or cultural perspective. It will also have the mission of providing information about the original flora and fauna, the elements that have been lost, and the importance of humankind transforming its ethnocentric view of its relationship with the natural environment.
