Resumen
Este Trabajo Final de Graduación, bajo la modalidad de proyecto tiene como título:
Fortalecimiento de la lectoescritura utilizando el método fonológico para el desarrollo de las
habilidades lingüísticas, en las personas estudiantes de V año, de la comunidad de Santa
Cecilia, Cantón La Cruz, Guanacaste, periodo 2022- 2023. Tiene como objetivo principal
fortalecer la lectoescritura utilizando el método fonológico para el desarrollo de habilidades
lingüísticas, en las personas estudiantes de V año. Dicha propuesta surge de la problemática
del rezago de la lectoescritura que se vive a nivel país, no obstante, también afecta a personas
estudiantes que cursan el quinto año de la comunidad de Santa Cecilia, perteneciente al
Cantón de La Cruz, Guanacaste. Dichas necesidades educativas se detectaron mediante la
aplicación de un diagnóstico socioeducativo a esta población estudiantil, para intervenir en
estas necesidades educativas. Se realizaron ocho talleres con el propósito de fortalecer esta
área mediante el método fonológico. En el marco teórico, se sustentó con diversos autores que
definen perspectivas que son de relevancia para esta indagación como la definición de
habilidades lingüísticas, concepto de lectura- escritura y los factores que inciden en el proceso
de lectoescritura. También la definición del método fonético, las características y el proceso
de adquisición del método fonético. Este estudio está centrado al tipo de investigación- acción,
bajo el enfoque cualitativo, para esta indagación se utilizaron como herramientas de
recolección de datos, la observación, el diario de campo, grupo focal y el post- diagnóstico.
Como principales resultados de esta investigación, es que mediante la aplicación de la
propuesta educativa, implementando el método fonológico permitió el fortalecimiento del
proceso de lectura y escritura, que fue una herramienta acertada y viable, demostrando
cambios significativos en la formación de las personas estudiantes de quinto año de la
comunidad de Santa Cecilia, ya que obtuvieron un impacto positivo en el área de la
lectoescritura, permitiendo tener dominio de los fonemas de las letras y combinarlas con otras
y asimismo el reconocimiento de sílabas y la identificación de su representación del grafema y
fonema.
This Final Graduation Project, under the project modality, is titled: Strengthening Reading and Writing through the Phonological Method for the Development of Linguistic Skills in Fifth Year Students from the Santa Cecilia Community, La Cruz Canton, Guanacaste, during the 2022-2023 period. The main objective is to enhance reading and writing skills using the phonological method among fifth-year students. This proposal arises from the problem of literacy lag at a national level, which also affects students in the fifth year from the Santa Cecilia community, belonging to La Cruz Canton, Guanacaste. These educational needs were identified through a socio-educational diagnosis of this student population, in order to address these needs.Eight workshops were conducted with the purpose of strengthening this area through the phonological method. The theoretical framework is supported by various authors defining perspectives relevant to this investigation, such as the definition of linguistic skills, the concept of reading and writing, and the factors influencing the reading and writing process. It also includes the definition of the phonetic method, its characteristics, and the process of phonetic acquisition.This study focuses on action research, under a qualitative approach. Tools for data collection included observation, field notes, focus groups, and postassessment. The main outcomes of this research show that the implementation of the educational proposal and the phonological method strengthened the reading and writing process. It proved to be a successful and viable approach, demonstrating significant changes in the education of fifth-year students in the Santa Cecilia community. The students experienced a positive impact on reading and writing, achieving mastery of letter phonemes and their combinations, as well as recognizing syllables and identifying the correspondence between graphemes and phonemes.
