Costa Rica has been throughout the last 4 decades, recognized for its beaches, national parks, and its exuberant biodiversity, which little by little was gaining strength in the world of tourism, added to the Costa Rican inhabitants, recognized for their kindness and " Pura Vida". Job creation, aggressive sustainability strategies, and international promotion are factors that drive the development of luxury hotels in Costa Rica, with 10% of Costa Rica hotels belonging to that category. This work aims to show through the study of two cases, one of them about a family that went from having a farm almost in abandonment, to having a farm with a whole tourist dynamic, as well as a rural community, which came together to work the community's coffee for export, to develop a tourist activity focused on coffee and its production in micro profit, selling tourism services to a luxury hotel in the district of Cajón, Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica. As these two experiences of communities, families, and individuals, it allowed economic dynamism, a new way of life, and an alternative for a luxury resort to give its guests unique and memorable experiences.
