Abstract

La presente investigación se desarrollará en aras de responder preguntas relativas a la posibilidad de realización asociada a un proyecto agroenergético, relacionado en la siembra, cultivo, cosecha y producción posterior de biodiesel, usando como base de su proceso la planta Jatropha curcas L.., también conocida en el país como tempate. La motivación se centra en la búsqueda de nuevas fuentes energéticas que permitan aplacar las necesidades tanto actuales como las futuras, considerando lo anterior, el enfoque será sobre los requerimientos asociados al cultivo y el procesamiento del bien, además de las características que le identifican y que permiten realizar una comparativa con el Diesel de origen fósil. Los resultados de la investigación, serán apoyados por la teoría actual, enfocada en este tipo de actividades, tanto en materia local como internacional que permita dar énfasis en las capacidades de la planta y su desarrollo. Inclusive se buscará apoyar la información en los datos de la práctica, en cultivos presentes en zonas de Costa Rica y su desarrollo, permitiendo así sentar un enfoque concreto en la realidad de este producto y su comportamiento en distintos territorios. Entendiendo que la factibilidad de un proyecto se apoya en los números, se comprenderá a realizar el estudio de costos relativo, que permita apoyar un resultado cercano a la realidad, que explique si es o no asequible su realización de acuerdo a niveles de producción y previsiones situacionales que serán analizadas a través de escenarios diversos.This research will be developed in order to answer questions related to the possibility of realization associated with an agroenergy project, related to the planting, cultivation, harvesting and subsequent production of biodiesel, using the Jatropha curcas L.. plant, also known in the country as tempate, as the basis of its process. The motivation is centered on the search for new energy sources that allow placating the current and future needs, considering the above, the focus will be on the requirements associated with the cultivation and processing of the good, in addition to the characteristics that identify it and that allow making a comparison with the Diesel of fossil origin. The results of the research will be supported by the current theory, focused on this type of activities, both in local and international matters that allow to emphasize the capacities of the plant and its development. The information will also be supported by practical data on crops present in areas of Costa Rica and their development, thus allowing for a concrete approach to the reality of this product and its behavior in different territories. Understanding that the feasibility of a project is based on numbers, a relative cost study will be carried out to support a result close to reality, which will explain whether or not its implementation is affordable according to production levels and situational forecasts.
