The purpose of this chapter is to serve as an introduction to this thesis. During its development, the background, the problem statement, the justification, the general objective and the specific objectives will be exposed. This project is structured in 5 chapters, for better understanding each chapter is described with its content. Chapter I, Introduction: This section presents the background, the problem statement, the justification, the general objective and the specific objectives. Chapter II, Theoretical Framework: This chapter shows the theoretical framework that corresponds to the theoretical and scientific bases of this document, which is divided into four sections. The first section presents information on the Institutional Security Section, its organization chart, as well as its mission and vision. Second section corresponds to the generalities of Software Architecture. The third section refers to the theoretical references of the methodological instruments used for the execution of this project. The fourth section describes three software architectures, the 4+1 model, the Business Process Management (BPM) model and the Web Services (WS) architecture. Chapter III, Methodological Framework: This chapter is divided into 4 sections: description of the type of research of this work, introduce the population and the sample, to summarize the data of the opinions and workflow of those directly involved with the Section of Institutional Security, then it is described how each of the instruments were executed and finally the procedures to analyze the diagnostic information are defined. Chapter IV, Solution Proposal: This chapter is divided into 3 sections, first the diagnosis that corresponds to collecting and processing relevant information from the Institutional Security Section, then the solution proposal is presented and finally the validation of the executed proposal. Chapter V, Conclusions and Recommendations: This chapter develops three sections: the conclusions observed through the analysis of the research carried out, the limitations of the project and finally the future work that was observed at the end of this project.
