Four stages were determined in the period of selection of a queen, which include the emergence of the queen from her cell, acceptance and integration into the colony, nuptial flight and pre-oviposition, stages that are carried out in a period of 13 days on average. The nuptial flight was very short, between 6 and 7 min., When the queens were between 3 and 6 days old. With the present study, it was possible to determine two behaviors never before observed in stingless bees, they are: the pushing behavior and Of these two behaviors, pushing showed a highly significant relationship with the age of the queens (ANDEVA, p <0.01 and p <0.05).
