In order for man to live in society, he must submit to a series of principles and rules that govern the conduct of individuals and that define the relationships between each member of society. Such principles have different origin and purpose and can be classified into social rules, which refer to social uses and customs; moral rules, to the good deeds of man towards his fellow men; religious rules, of these same actions towards God and legal rules, that order social behavior in an imperative way and that constitute the obligatory minimum, to make possible the relations of all order, in the individuals that make up society. It is easy to understand the importance of these last rules for the conservation and development of society since the law establishes the patterns according to which individuals must order and coordinate their actions and interests. Hence the need for legal norms to cover most of the possible human relationships, so as not to give room for abuse, arbitrariness and despotism.
