It investigates the quantitative and endogenous factors that influence the methodologies applied by the teacher in science, in the teaching of the digestive system, in third grade students of the 26 schools address 1, of the circuit 06 of the Regional Directorate of Perez Zeledon. It focuses on identifying the mastery of the strategies that teachers have, the influence of the use of didactic resources and the methodologies applied in the teaching of the digestive system, in order to later correlate the variables with the academic level and experience of the teachers. In addition, it seeks to determine the incidence of the methodologies used and to what extent they are related to the learning and attitude of students in the teaching of the subject under investigation. The research is a descriptive study. We worked with 100% of the population of third grade teachers of the 06 circuit, composed of a population of 26 teachers, and with 27% of the population of students, composed of 89 students. Among the conclusions, it is highlighted that the educators are able to satisfactorily develop the science topics, they show mastery of these topics, but they have few didactic resources to develop the topic correctly. The Ministry of Public Education does not provide educational institutions with the necessary materials to develop the different science topics. The study also determined that teachers do not make use of varied methodologies, which contrasts with the proposal of the students, who show interest in playful, participatory and team activities.
