The present investigation examines the practices of the university students that during times of COVID-19 their training process has been modified towards a remote presence that interacts in virtual learning spaces. Faced with these challenges, a study was implemented whose objective was to analyze the effect of access to ICT by university students from the National University (UNA), Chorotega Branch Campus Liberia and its possible repercussions on the teaching-learning processes. To achieve this, a study was carried out under a quantitative approach and a descriptive and explanatory study was used, taking 221 university students as a sample. From the applied method, the results revealed wide inequalities in various student extracts from 4 established components such as: connectivity, technological resources, inconveniences and alternate complications. Finally, in the interaction with information and communication technologies (ICT), there is an evident discrepancy in access to digital resources, called the digital divide.
