Resumen
El presente informe de tesis tiene como objetivo principal analizar los factores psicológicos, socioeconómicos y culturales que inciden en el rendimiento académico de los niños y niñas de la Escuela Lourdes de Pérez Zeledón cuando ambos padres laboran fuera del hogar, curso lectivo 2005. Este trabajo de investigación responde a un estudio de tipo descriptivo, enfatizando el paradigma cuantitativo. La literatura consultada enfoca temas relacionados con la incidencia de los factores psicológicos, socioeconómicos y culturales en el rendimiento académico de los niños y niñas cuando ambos padres laboran fuera del hogar. La población estuvo conformada con una población inicial de 37 estudiantes con la característica que sus dos padres laboran fuera del hogar, pero por motivos de traslado de escuela (dos estudiantes), la investigación se finalizó con una cantidad de 35 alumnos, 74 padres de familia, de los cuales se trabajó con 40, por motivo de que algunos laboran fuera del país y 4 docentes. Además para llevar a cabo la comparación de notas, se tomó una muestra de
23 alumnos de los 115 estudiantes caracterizados por el hecho de que al menos un padre de familia permanece con ellos en el hogar. Se utilizó un cuestionario dividido en tres partes atizadas a la población estudiada y de acuerdo con las variables. Además se realizó una comparación de notas.
El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo dependiendo del instrumento utilizado.
Es interpretado por cuadros y gráficos.
Las conclusiones indican si afectan o no afectan las variables en el rendimiento académico de los niños y niñas estudiadas
The main objective of this thesis report is to analyze the psychological, socioeconomic and cultural factors that affect the academic performance of boys and girls of the Lourdes School of Pérez Zeledón when both parents work outside the home, school year 2005. This research work responds to a descriptive study, emphasizing the quantitative paradigm. The literature consulted focuses on issues related to the incidence of psychological, socioeconomic and cultural factors on the academic performance of children when both parents work outside the home. The population was made up of an initial population of 37 students with the characteristic that both parents work outside the home, but due to school transfer (two students), the research was completed with 35 students, 74 parents, of which 40 were worked with, because some of them work outside the country, and 4 teachers. In addition, to carry out the comparison of grades, a sample of 23 students was taken from the 115 students characterized by the fact that at least one parent stays with them at home. A questionnaire was used, divided into three parts according to the population studied and according to the variables. In addition, a comparison of scores was carried out. The data analysis was carried out depending on the instrument used. It is interpreted by tables and graphs. The conclusions indicate whether the variables affect or do not affect the academic performance of the children studied.
