Resumen
El 5 de marzo de 2013 se anunció
la muerte de Hugo Chávez
Frías. Este hecho marca el inicio
de una nueva etapa para la sociedad
venezolana. No obstante, el
sello de esta nueva etapa no sólo se
encuentra marcado por la ausencia
del polémico pero carismático líder
de la izquierda latinoamericana. A
la muerte de Chávez deben sumarse
la reducción del precio de petróleo
(cuyos costos al alza permitieron
a la Venezuela Bolivariana tener
una agresiva política internacional
durante una década), la desaceleración
de la economía de Rusia y
China (sus dos principales socios
y prestamistas) y la consolidación y
articulación –al menos parcial- de
la oposición al régimen chavista.
