Influencia intercultural del baile folclórico en las personas adultas mayores del grupo “Alma Joven”

Abstract

La interculturalidad es un componente de gran importancia en cualquier grupo social, pues permite crear un ambiente de respeto y tolerancia entre miembros de distintas nacionalidades. Es un término tan amplio que comprende una gran variedad de costumbres autóctonas de distintas regiones del planeta, las cuales pueden ser aprendidas por otras culturas si se dejan cautivar por el aprendizaje de experiencias totalmente nuevas y desconocidas hasta el momento.

El grupo de baile folclórico “Alma Joven” no fue la excepción; se convirtió en un grupo intercultural por haber ido integrando, poco a poco, coreografías pertenecientes a distintos países, gracias a la contribución de compañeras de diferentes nacionalidades, quienes se fueron integrando al curso artístico, sin temor a ser discriminadas por sus pares costarricenses.Interculturality is a component of great importance in any social group, since it allows the creation of an atmosphere of respect and tolerance among members of different nationalities. It is such a broad term that it encompasses a great variety of native customs from different regions of the planet, which can be learned by other cultures if they allow themselves to be captivated by the learning of totally new and previously unknown experiences.

The folkloric dance group "Alma Joven" was no exception; it became an intercultural group for having integrated, little by little, choreographies belonging to different countries, thanks to the contribution of colleagues of different nationalities, who were integrated to the artistic course, without fear of being discriminated by their Costa Rican peers.
