Herramientas tecnológicas en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de la estadística

Abstract

El uso de herramientas tecnológicas ha modificado muchos aspectos de la sociedad, no escapa a ello la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de las matemáticas; en especial el campo de la estadística. El interés porla enseñanza de la estadística en los últimos años viene dado por el rápido desarrollo de este campo como ciencia y su aporte instrumental en investigaciones de otras áreas, así como en aspectos de la vida cotidiana. Se presenta en este artículo la importancia de enseñar estadística con ayuda de una herramienta tecnológica, se dan algunas consideraciones que deben tomarse en cuenta cuando se utiliza una herramienta tecnológica y algunas sugerencias de cómo se puede emplear el software dinámico Fathom.The use of technological tools has changed many aspects of society, including the teaching and learning of mathematics; especially in the field of statistics. In the last few years interest in the teaching of statistics has been stimulated by the rapid development of this field as a science and its instrumental contribution to research in other areas, as well as in aspects of daily life. This article shows the importance of teaching statistics with the help of a technological tool. We consider what must be taken into account when a technological tool is used, and we make some suggestions about how one can use the dynamic software Fathom.
