Fundamentos políticos y legales de la existencia del Estado de Israel

Abstract

El conflicto árabe israelí, por su amplitud y complejidad, desafía cualquier tratamiento. Ninguno que él se haga puede considerarse completo y exhaustivos. Me siento identificado con el derecho a la existencia del Estado de Israel, con su trayectoria y valores político internacionales y por eso quiero iluminar uno de los procesos más interesantes sobre el nacimiento de un Estado en la época actual. Nacimiento en el cual, los factores intelectuales juegan un papel destacado. La creación del estado moderno de Israel en mayo de 1948, mediante un acto internacional de las Naciones Unidas, ha sido un hecho sobre el cual se ha enfocado, casi a diario, el interés de la opinión pública mundial. Desde ese entonces, tal hecho ha producido reacciones positivas y negativas profundas, por parte de organismos y países, envolviendo y enfrentando cada vez más a las grandes potencias en los foros internacionales. Este trabajo se propone investigar cuales han sido y son los fundamentos políticos y legales sobre los que se asienta el estado en cuestión. Primeramente, traigo a colación los orígenes del Sionismo como un movimiento organizado de la minoría judía, que toma fuerza a para de la Revolución Francesas. Seguidamente, estudiaré la Resolución que provoca el nacimiento y creación del Estado israelí -hecho que genera una situación de conflicto internacional- permitiéndonos analizar una serie de factores internacionales en forma altamente ilustrativa. Por último, enfoco, cuál ha sido la actitud de Costa Rica con respecto a los acontecimientos del Medio Oriente. Considero que vara el estudio de las Relaciones internacionales, este caso presenta un gran número de aspectos importantes que pueden enriquecer varias de las disciplinas estudiadas en nuestra escuela. Puede también servir para que alumnos y estudiantes de las Relaciones Internacionales, posean una mayor información al respecto; Espero que el conocimiento de estas circunstancias, pueda otorgar a nuestra política exterior con respecto al Estado de Israel, un punto de vista más sólido. Pasemos a exponer la tarea realizada.

The Arab-Israeli conflict, because of its breadth and complexity, defies any treatment. None of them can be considered complete and exhaustive. I feel identified with the right to the existence of the State of Israel, with its trajectory and international political values, and that is why I want to shed light on one of the most interesting processes of the birth of a State in the present era. Birth in which intellectual factors play an important role. The creation of the modern state of Israel in May 1948, by an international act of the United Nations, has been an event on which the interest of world public opinion has been focused almost daily. Since then, this fact has produced profound positive and negative reactions from organizations and countries, increasingly involving and confronting the great powers in international forums. This paper aims to investigate what have been and are the political and legal foundations on which the state in question is based. First of all, I will bring up the origins of Zionism as an organized movement of the Jewish minority, which gained strength after the French Revolution. Next, I will study the Resolution that provokes the birth and creation of the Israeli State - a fact that generates a situation of international conflict - allowing us to analyze a series of international factors in a highly illustrative way. Finally, I will focus on Costa Rica's attitude towards the events in the Middle East. I believe that for the study of International Relations, this case presents a great number of important aspects that can enrich several of the disciplines studied in our school. It can also serve to provide students and students of International Relations with more information on the subject; I hope that the knowledge of these circumstances can give our foreign policy towards the State of Israel a more solid point of view. Let us now turn to the task that has been accomplished.
