Abstract

El proyecto titulado ¨Fortalecimiento del clúster de turismo médico en Costa Rica como opción estratégica para mejorar las capacidades competitivas de la industria¨, surgió como un mecanismo para apoyar al sector empresarial cuyo giro comercial es afín al turismo médico, en su inserción al mercado internacional. Costa Rica cuenta con factores inherentes al destino que han propiciado el desarrollo del turismo médico con escasa intervención, sin embargo, existen aspectos que el país debe incorporar para diferenciar su producto y así competir con mayor garantía. Este es un país con un altísimo potencial pero carente de una estrategia integral que promueva el desarrollo de sus capacidades, lo cual permea fuerte entre los actores de este polo de desarrollo. A partir de lo anterior, se señala como problema central de la investigación ¿Qué acciones podrían llevarse a cabo para fortalecer el clúster de turismo médico, contribuyendo a mejorar las capacidades competitivas de la industria?...
