Nivel de estrés académico en la población estudiantil del Colegio Técnico Profesional de Heredia durante el curso lectivo 2022

Resumen
El objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar el nivel de estrés académico de la población estudiantil del Colegio Técnico Profesional de Heredia durante el curso lectivo 2022. Todo desde una concepción Sistémico Cognoscitivista, partiendo de un paradigma positivista, un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño transversal de tipo descriptivo. Utilizando para la recolección de la información la segunda versión de 21 ítems del Inventario Sistémico Cognoscitivista (SISCO SV-21) de Barraza (2018), el cual fue digitalizado a través de Google Formularios para su contextualización al no poderse aplicar de manera presencial. Reflejando la aplicación de dicho instrumento que en la población estudiantil hay una elevada concentración de estrés académico sobre todo por la percepción de las exigencias que la institución plantea en cuanto a la sobrecarga de tareas y el tiempo limitado para realizarlas. Así mismo, como principales síntomas de dicho estrés académico suelen manifestarse la fatiga y la ansiedad, algo que la población estudiantil afronta principalmente, concentrándose en resolver las situaciones que les provocan estrés académico para establecer soluciones concretas analizando tanto lo positivo como lo negativo de dichas soluciones. Ante lo cual se plantea como recomendación desde la disciplina de Orientación, realizar mediciones diagnosticas para que en la institución se tenga una cultura preventiva en cuanto al manejo del estrés académico se refiere, visibilizando la importancia de contar con estrategias de afrontamiento que involucren procesos de autoconocimiento, conocimiento del medio, toma de decisiones y acción social.
The objective of this research is to determine the level of academic stress of the student population of the Colegio Técnico Profesional de Heredia during the academic year 2022. All from a Systemic Cognitive-Cognoscitivist conception, based on a positivist paradigm, a quantitative approach and a descriptive cross-sectional design. Using for the collection of information the second version of 21 items of the Systemic Cognitive Inventory (SISCO SV-21) of Barraza (2018), which was digitized through Google Forms for its contextualization since it could not be applied in person. Reflecting the application of said instrument that in the student population there is a high concentration of academic stress mainly due to the perception of the demands that the institution poses in terms of the overload of tasks and the limited time to perform them. Likewise, the main symptoms of such academic stress are usually fatigue and anxiety, something that the student population faces mainly by concentrating on solving the situations that cause academic stress in order to establish concrete solutions, analyzing both the positive and negative aspects of such solutions. In view of this, it is proposed as a recommendation from the Guidance discipline, to carry out diagnostic measurements so that the institution has a preventive culture regarding the management of academic stress, making visible the importance of having coping strategies that involve processes of self-knowledge, knowledge of the environment, decision making and social action.
