La pintura de Max Jiménez está bastante ligada a sus trabajos de escultura, principalmente en la creación de volúmenes muy semejantes y por la utilización de la deformación, consciente, de la mayoría de las figuras. La pintura de Max Jiménez es una pintura del futuro, porque afirma las técnicas del pasado en las figuras de presente.
