Pasantía en medicina preventiva, medicina interna del sistema digestivo y dermatología, cirugía de esterilización y ultrasonido en especies menores en la Clínica Veterinaria San Pedro, San Pedro de Poás, Alajuela, Costa Rica

Resumen
El presente trabajo consistió en una pasantía en la Clínica Veterinaria San
Pedro, ubicada en San Pedro de Poás en Alajuela, Costa Rica, durante el periodo del
06 de junio al 06 de octubre del 2020 con una duración aproximada de 589 horas.
Durante la pasantía se participó en las áreas de medicina preventiva, medicina
interna, cirugía y ultrasonografía, recibiendo así un total de 453 pacientes de los cuales
353 (78%) fueron caninos y 100 (22%) fueron felinos. Del total de casos 194 (40%)
fueron de medicina preventiva, 149 (31%) de medicina interna, 124 (26%) de cirugía y
otros procedimientos anestésicos y 15 (3%) ultrasonidos.
Se participó en la vacunación de 194 pacientes. Además, se acompañó en el
proceso diagnóstico de 54 casos dermatológicos y 45 del sistema digestivo. Se
presenciaron 15 ultrasonidos de la cavidad abdominal y se asistió en 124 cirugías y
procedimientos anestésicos.
The present work consisted of an internship at the San Pedro Veterinary Clinic, located in San Pedro, Poás Alajuela, Costa Rica, during the period from June 6 to October 6, 2020 with an approximate duration of 589 hours.
