Design, construction and experimental study of electric cum solar oven-II

Abstract

As in many developing countries,35-401 of the population of Costa Rica still use firewood for domestic cooking.Considering the fact that Costa Rica is blessed with good sunshine,good hydroelectric potential,and there exist good electric network,a hybrid solar oven was thought to be useful.In the present paper the construction and working of new type of Electric Cum Solar Oven(ECSO) has been described.This oven can be used for cooking and baking any type of meal at any time during the year employing solar and/or electric energy but consuming the minimum quantity of electric energy in case it is required.

Como en muchos países en desarrollo, 35-401 de la población de Costa Rica todavía usa leña para cocinar en casa. Considerando el hecho de que Costa Rica ha sido bendecida con buen sol, buen potencial hidroeléctrico y existe una buena red eléctrica, se diseñó un horno solar híbrido. Se cree que es útil. En el presente documento, se describe la construcción y el funcionamiento de un nuevo tipo de horno eléctrico con energía solar (ECSO). Este horno se puede usar para cocinar y hornear cualquier tipo de comida en cualquier momento durante el año empleando energía solar y /o energía eléctrica pero consumiendo la mínima cantidad de energía eléctrica en caso de ser requerida.
