Estrategia de acercamiento a los públicos de interés de la microcuenca del Río Segundo

Abstract

Este proyecto consiste en la planificación y realización de un estudio de partes interesadas de la microcuenca del Río Segundo, esta se caracteriza por recorrer territorios de las provincias de Heredia y Alajuela. El estudio identifica los grupos que tienen la capacidad e interés de velar por el cuido del río y la disminución de la entrada de contaminantes a este, para de esta manera poder promover la participación de estos grupos en el programa “Adopte un río” de la Fundación Ambiente Urbano – FAU y los “Observatorios Ciudadanos del Agua” de la Alianza Nacional de Ríos y Cuencas de Costa Rica – ANRCCR Mediante una muestra no aleatoria con los colindantes del río se aplicó una herramienta de consulta digital a las partes interesadas. Los quince resultados obtenidos se dividieron sectorialmente según su giro de actividades o negocios. Posteriormente se priorizaron los sectores que demostraron mayor capacidad e interés de formar relaciones a largo plazo con las áreas de acción de FAU y la ANRCCR. La sección de la herramienta donde se consulta la anuencia a colaborar en el proyecto tuvo una respuesta positiva pese a que las partes consultadas no conocen del proyecto ni de gestión de impactos. En el análisis de los datos sobresale la necesidad de construir una relación de confianza entre las distintas organizaciones y el programa para conseguir fondos económicos el desarrollo del proyecto se determinó el potencial de este tipo de consulta, siendo este un piloto que demuestra la posibilidad de obtener información relevante y la capacidad de ser replicado en otras microcuencas y por otras organizaciones.

This project consists of planning and carrying out a stakeholder study of the Río Segundo micro-watershed, which is characterized by the fact that it covers territories in the provinces of Heredia and Alajuela. The study identifies the groups that have the capacity and interest to watch over the care of the river and the reduction of the entry of pollutants into it, in order to promote the participation of these groups in the "Adopt a River" program of the Urban Environment Foundation - FAU and the "Citizen Water Observatories" of the National Alliance of Rivers and Watersheds of Costa Rica - ANRCCR Through a non-random sample with the river's neighbors, a digital consultation tool was applied to the stakeholders. The fifteen results obtained were divided by sector according to their line of business or activities. Subsequently, the sectors that demonstrated the greatest capacity and interest in forming long-term relationships with the FAU and ANRCCR action areas were prioritized. The section of the tool that asks about the willingness to collaborate in the project had a positive response despite the fact that the consulted parties are not familiar with the project or impact management. The analysis of the data highlights the need to build a relationship of trust between the different organizations and the program in order to obtain economic funds for the development of the project, and the potential of this type of consultation was determined, this being a pilot that demonstrates the possibility of obtaining relevant information and the capacity to be replicated in other micro-watersheds and by other organizations.
