Plan Integral para el manejo de residuos sólidos en los Colegios del circuito 01, Dirección Regional San José Norte del MEP del 2021 al 2025

Abstract

El presente proyecto “Plan Integral para el Manejo de Residuos Sólidos en los Colegios del circuito 01, Dirección Regional San José Norte del MEP, del 2021 al 2025 se relaciona con la protección del medio ambiente enfocado a los residuos sólidos. Específicamente, el proyecto se ejecutará en el CTP Calle Blancos sección nocturna, ya que a partir del estudio previo y las necesidades de la comunidad estudiantil, se descubrió que existe la necesidad de una gestión de residuos sólidos para la calidad de vida de las personas que asisten a la institución; por ende, el objetivo principal es reducir el impacto que tiene el colegio en el ambiente, mediante la sensibilización, el embellecimiento, saneamiento y tratamiento de residuos sólidos para el mejoramiento de la infraestructura por medio de la generación de recursos de los residuos sólidos generados del 2021 al 2025. Una de las características que identifica el proyecto, es que involucra en todas sus fases la participación de los estudiantes, profesores y administrativos; esto, con el propósito de poder sensibilizar a la población estudiantil, profesores y demás personal de la institución; además, que sirva de onda expansiva para sensibilizar a las familias con el fin de realizar diversas actividades poder aprender el manejo adecuado de los residuos sólidos y generar ingresos en pro al centro educativo. Asimismo, ser una de las instituciones educativas del país que cuente con plan de gestión ambiental para posicionarse con la Bandera Azul Ecológica, mencionado que, en los estudios de investigación con los que cuenta este proyecto, el tema de plan de gestión ambiental en la mayoría de las escuelas y colegios costarricenses, principalmente en zonas urbanas, no presentan protocolos para el proceso de los residuos sólidos generados o desconocen los procedimientos que éstos requieren. Para alcanzar tales características, el procedimiento general utilizado para realizar la investigación se fundamenta en herramientas como la observación, consulta a bibliografía existente, entrevistas y cuestionarios. Estas herramientas, unidas al conocimiento, permitieron la identificación de las actividades correctas para elaborar el plan de trabajo. Para finalizar, tal proyecto cuenta con gran potencial para más crecimiento, la intención de seguir trabajando en sus posibles mejoras tiene como visión a inyectar “financiamiento verde” a partir de sus enlaces con otras instituciones o empresas. Debido a la amenaza que el cambio climático implica para la humanidad, debe evolucionar hacia una sociedad familiarizada y sensibilizada en aspectos ambientales, así como el funcionamiento sostenible de los procesos de residuos sólidos y a partir de ellos, la búsqueda de emprendimientos con alto valor y beneficios climáticos.

The present project "Comprehensive Plan for the Management of Solid Waste in the Schools of Circuit 01, San José Norte Regional Directorate of the MEP, from 2021 to 2025 is related to the protection of the environment focused on solid waste. Specifically, the project will be executed in the CTP Calle Blancos night section, since from the previous study and the needs of the student community, it was discovered that there is a need for solid waste management for the quality of life of the people who attend the institution; Therefore, the main objective is to reduce the impact that the school has on the environment, through awareness, beautification, sanitation and treatment of solid waste for the improvement of the infrastructure through the generation of resources from the solid waste generated from the 2021 to 2025. One of the characteristics that the project identifies is that it involves the participation of students, teachers and administrators in all its phases; this, with the purpose of being able to sensitize the student population, professors and other personnel of the institution; also, that it serves as an expansive wave to sensitize families in order to carry out various activities to learn the proper management of solid waste and generate income for the educational center. Likewise, being one of the educational institutions in the country that has an environmental management plan to position itself with the Ecological Blue Flag, mentioned that, in the research studies that this project has, the issue of environmental management plan in the majority of Costa Rican schools and colleges, mainly in urban areas, do not present protocols for the process of the solid waste generated or are unaware of the procedures they require. To achieve these characteristics, the general procedure used to carry out the research is based on tools such as observation, consultation of existing bibliography, interviews and questionnaires. These tools, together with knowledge, allowed the identification of the correct activities to develop the work plan. To conclude, such a project has great potential for further growth, the intention of continuing to work on its possible improvements has the vision of injecting "green financing" from its links with other institutions or companies. Due to the threat that climate change implies for humanity, it must evolve towards a society that is familiar with and sensitized in environmental aspects, as well as the sustainable operation of solid waste processes and from them, the search for high-value and profitable ventures climatic
