diversificación de la matriz eléctrica nacional Generation of clean energy and social acceptance of the use of energy sources
non-conventional renewable energies (FERNC), represent the theoretical foundations of the
present project to opt for the bachelor's degree in Economic Planning
and Social and that will allow to determine the degree of acceptance that the population presents
of the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) of Costa Rica.
The three dimensions covered by this work are concepts of acceptance.
sociopolitical, community and market. These three are considered the basis of the project
and they will be the support to generate a signal of confidence, which will contribute in making
decisions regarding non-conventional renewable energy sources, from
a segment in Costa Rica.
Likewise, the PESTAL analysis will be detailed, in which the aspects
political, economic, social, environmental and legal related to the research topic.
In addition to the energy supply that comes from the renewable matrix, since the year
2012, the Greater Metropolitan Area has a clean energy alternative
recognized worldwide: the Central Valley Wind Farm, which is located
specifically located in the Canton of Santa Ana. As of this construction,
has strengthened its image in favor of the environment, so the study of social acceptance
of the use of non-conventional renewable energy sources within the Greater Area
Metropolitana, seeks to reinforce the country's image of leading energy production with
based on renewable sources.
The data collected allowed us to know the opinion of both the resident populationas from the industrial sector of the Greater Metropolitan Area, also create an environment
for the design and implementation of innovative project proposals, which
focus on expanding and diversifying the country's electricity matrix.
To meet this objective, a link was established with the ICE-Electricidad,
as part of the support provided by this governmental entity, in addition,
had the collaboration of the Costa Rican Electricity Institute of Dr.
Rodrigo Rojas Morales and on behalf of the National Company of Power and Light, Mr.
Arnaldo González Troz.
To develop the research, a survey was applied based on the criteria of
experts from the Institute of Social Studies in Population (IDESPO) of the University
National of Costa Rica. This was applied through the Google Forms platform. With
the applied instrument was able to know the opinion that exists regarding the acceptance
of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Sources in the Greater Area
Metropolitan.
As a result, a proposal was designed, which will allow ICE to have a first
idea of what the residential population and the industrial or commercial sector of the country think,
Regarding the acceptance that exists of Renewable Energy Sources No
Conventional. Likewise, it is intended to correct the existing deficiencies in the part
promotion that current clean energy projects have, as well as
set a guideline for the implementation of new projects for the country and
raise awareness among the population on issues related to FERNC and encourage
diversification of the national electricity matrix.
