Recuperación y análisis de la producción histórica: los grabados costarricenses, su función y manifestación artística, social y cultural en la década de 1930-1940 estampados en el Repertorio Americano

Abstract

Presenta el análisis documental del Repertorio Americano y describe los eventos históricos nacionales e internacionales que conllevaron la creación de la revista. A través del análisis documental, se logra identificar la forma de manifestación artística de los grabados costarricenses publicados en el Repertorio Americano en el período 1930-1940, una vez identificados los grabados se realiza el análisis de contenido y descripción física utilizando las Listas de Encabezamiento de Materia y las Reglas de Catalogación Angloamericanas, cuyos datos obtenidos se ingresan en una base de datos construida con el sistema “EspaBiblio”, al mismo tiempo, se elabora un mini sitio de tal forma que permita la integración de la información normalizada de los grabados y lograr una comunicación visual, atractiva, directa y accesible al usuario desde cualquier parte del mundo. Finalmente, se concluye en la necesidad de comprender y salvaguardar la historia e idiosincrasia del ser costarricense y la identificación de los grabados permitió reflejar por medio de la imagen el arte como parte esencial del ser humano y como la expresión propia del artista para transmitir mensajes.

It presents the documentary analysis of the Repertorio Americano and describes the national and international historical events that led to the creation of the magazine. Through the documentary analysis, it is possible to identify the form of artistic manifestation of the Costa Rican engravings published in the Repertorio Americano in the period 1930-1940, once the engravings are identified, the content analysis and physical description is carried out using the Subject Heading Lists and the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, At the same time, a mini-site was created to allow the integration of the standardized information of the engravings and to achieve a visual, attractive, direct and accessible communication to the user from any part of the world. Finally, it is concluded in the need to understand and safeguard the history and idiosyncrasy of the Costa Rican being and the identification of the engravings allowed to reflect through the image the art as an essential part of the human being and as the artist's own expression to transmit messages.
