El uso de la información financiera en la gestión administrativa de las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (MIPYMES) localizadas en el distrito San Isidro de El General, cantón de Pérez Zeledón.

Abstract

El objetivo primordial de esta investigación fue determinar si, realmente, los empresarios de San Isidro, inscritos en el programa de la Dirección General de Apoyo a la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa del MEIC, hacen uso de la información financiera para la toma de decisiones o si desaprovechan estas herramientas, que facilitan la continuidad y crecimiento en el mercado actual. Mediante la aplicación de encuestas, a una muestra de los micros, pequeños y medianos empresarios del distrito, se conoció qué tan familiarizados están ellos con los distintos conceptos administrativos financieros; qué tipo de sistema contable utilizan en sus empresas y qué tan importante es la información generada por estos sistemas para planificar a mediano o largo plazo. También se evaluó la aplicación de controles internos en las empresas para fiscalizar el uso eficiente de sus recursos y el nivel de formación académica en administración financiera que posean los administradores de las MIPYMES, para establecer la relación existente entre los estudios y la utilización, o no, de la información financiera. Los resultados, en general, fueron positivos. Denotan un aceptable nivel de conocimiento y utilización de las herramientas financieras, por parte de los empresarios, ya que, actualmente, existe mayor interés de los emprendedores y

mejor disposición de algunas instituciones claves en la formación financiera. Es importante destacar que la muestra investigada corresponde a empresas inscritas en un programa gubernamental dedicado a impulsar el apoyo a las MIPYMES, plan en el cual no están inscritas la totalidad de las MIPYMES del distrito.

The main objective of this research was to determine whether the entrepreneurs of San Isidro, enrolled in the program of the General Directorate of Support to Small and Medium Enterprises of the MEIC, really make use of financial information for decision-making or whether they do not take advantage of these tools, which facilitate continuity and growth in today's market. Through the application of surveys to a sample of micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the district, we learned how familiar they are with the different financial management concepts; what type of accounting system they use in their companies and how important the information generated by these systems is for medium or long-term planning. We also evaluated the application of internal controls in the companies to control the efficient use of their resources and the level of academic training in financial administration that the managers of the MSMEs have, in order to establish the relationship between their studies and the use, or not, of financial information. The results, in general, were positive. They show an acceptable level of knowledge and use of financial tools on the part of entrepreneurs, since there is currently greater interest on the part of entrepreneurs and a better willingness on the part of some key institutions to provide financial information. better disposition of some key institutions in financial training. It is important to note that the sample investigated corresponds to companies enrolled in a government program dedicated to promoting support for MSMEs, a plan in which not all the district's MSMEs are enrolled.
