ellas perros, gatos, caballos y conejos.
La evaluación oftalmológica se realizó en el Centro Ecuestre El Sol, Club Hípico La
Caraña, Centro Ecuestre Yo-Soy, Finca Alegría, Escuela Nacional de Equitación y Ganadera
AG.
This project was developed in two phases. The basics of ophthalmology were covered in the first part, through individual study as well as observation and discussion of cases. The second phase was the development of an ophthalmic evaluation on horses of various equine farms in our country. The learning process took place at the Animal Eye Consultant Hospital in Elgin, Illinois, United States. Ophthalmic examinations were made to reach a diagnosis and surgeries were performed when needed. Dogs, cats, horses and rabbits were some of the species treated. The ophthalmic evaluation took place in Centro Ecuestre El Sol, Club Hípico La Caraña, Centro Ecuestre Yo-Soy, Finca Alegría, Escuela Nacional de Equitación and Ganadera AG. An ophthalmic protocol was followed as part of the general evaluation. Some of the cases required antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. In other cases, an ultrasound evaluation was needed to rule-out intraocular alterations.
