Resumen

Designs and develops an alternative proposal on how to implement in the classroom the study of the contents of geometry in the seventh year with the help of historical elements of mathematics. In this research, 60 high school students, located in marginal urban schools, ten high school mathematics teachers, eight teachers responsible for the training of future mathematics teachers and four regional and national advisers in this subject, belonging to the Ministry of Public Education participated. Questionnaires and interviews were applied.
