A total of 301 bulls of Bos indicus genotype (n=48) and Bos indicus x Bos taurus (BT x BI) crosses (n=75), aged 1.10-13.0 years (3.9 = 2.0), were examined. The animals were breeders kept in natural mating and under extensive grazing conditions in commercial beef and dual purpose cattle farms located in Alajuela and Guanacaste.
